Dr. Peter Koebisch, Chiropractor and Owner
Dr. Koebisch received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1973. Four years of further study and an internship resulted in a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1977. After a decade of private practice in Calgary, Peter opened a clinic in Cochrane when the population was still around 4,500.
Peter has lived in the rural Cochrane area since 1983 and the new, multidisciplinary clinic was constructed in 2000. He operates a general practice based on orthopedic diagnosis and motion palpation of the spine and extremities. Diversified manipulation techniques are the mainstay of his practice. Therapeutic ultrasound, custom foot orthotics, braces/supports, and exercises are also provided as required. If his experience determines that additional care is required, he will make the appropriate professional referral.
Brigitte, is the office manager of this family business. Both are fluent in German. Along with their daughter, Savanna, they are renowned for their passion of world-wide outdoor adventure travel.
Margaret Carroll, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
For over 25 years, Margaret has been studying and advocating preventative and naturopathic health. She specializes in pre- and post-natal massage techniques. Through her company, Mother and Baby Wellness, she teaches professionals the methods behind pre/post-natal massage, infant massage and in understanding the female pelvic floor.
After 10 years in clinical practice of Shiatsu, reflexology and as a nutritional consultant,she graduated from the 2,200-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Program in 2006. Margaret has grown her reputation in Cochrane as an experienced holistic practitioner and preventative health educator.
Her extensive education in manual lymphatic drainage, cranial-sacral therapy, Shiatsu and Reiki will enhance your massage treatment. During a session she is able to draw on these therapies to meet your needs. Margaret is also experienced in the care of soft tissue injuries and related conditions. Margaret is always highly regarded, with one past patient stating: “Margaret is knowledgeable and caring with training and expertise in several areas. She takes the time to assess by asking questions that really probe what I need as a patient . . . and I admire her compassion.”
Kelly Hutchings, RMT
Kelly Hutchings is a Registered Massage Therapist who has completed a 2-year, 2200-hour course at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy, graduating with honors. Kelly specializes in the assessment and treatment of acute injuries, pain relief and deep tissue massage.
In her off-time Kelly enjoys outdoor pursuits with her family of five, such as camping, biking and snowboarding.
Kelly looks forward to assisting you in living a happy and pain-free life.
Amanda Holdenried, RMT
Amanda has been practicing massage therapy since 2004, when she received her 1000-hour diploma from Foothills College of Massage Therapy. She also holds the CEE equivalency 2200-hour recognition. Amanda grew up in Canmore, AB, and has a passion for the mountains and hiking. She has always had a love for health and fitness, which led her on the path to massage therapy. Amanda enjoys treating sports related injuries, and has taken courses on myofascial release as well as stretching and strengthening techniques. In her free time Amanda enjoys golfing, camping and spending time with her husband Richard, daughter Kaitlyn, and their beloved canine companion, nicknamed “Summy”!
Anik Morin, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Anik is a recent graduate of the 2200 RMT program from the Professional Institute of Massage therapy in Calgary. Anik is very well versed in all Swedish massage techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release. Her goal, first and foremost is relaxation during the treatment. Once the body & mind is relaxed, the benefits of more specific and deep techniques are greater. Anik is very excited to continue her learning in massage therapy; watch for new modalities in the near future!
Anik has been in the wellness industry for a number of years, she is also a certified Yoga instructor with a specialty in Yin Yoga. Anik and her family have called Cochrane home for over 6 years. In her free time, Anik enjoys spending time with her children, hiking the beautiful Rocky Mountains, cycling, practicing yoga and meditation.
